The standard edition of FIFA 22 cost £59.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US. If EA Sports rename the game, we anticipate this may result in a price increase of around 10%.
What Will FIFA 23 be Called?
EA Sports confirmed in a blog post about FIFA 22 they ‘were exploring the idea of renaming our global EA Sports football games’.
‘EA Sports FC’ has been heavily rumoured as the new name for the series, although that does not quite have the same ring as FIFA.
Will FIFA 23 have new features?
Every previous edition of the FIFA series has arrived on the scene with new features, and this year’s release will be no different in that respect.
One of the most important new features has been widely tipped to be cross-play capability, opening up a whole new world for fans of the game.
It has been widely reported that FIFA will allow players to cross-play on different platforms, thus bringing together PlayStation, Xbox and PC under one umbrella.

FIFA 23 Official Leagues & Clubs
FIFA 23 will feature most of the world’s top leagues and competitions, although some Serie A clubs will appear under different names.
Last year’s game included Piemonte Calcio, Bergamo Calcio, Latium and Roma FC in Serie A, and a similar approach will be used for non-licensed teams this time around.
Who will be on the cover of FIFA 23?
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has been on the cover for the past two years and could be in the running to complete the hat-trick this year.
However, Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland may beat him to the accolade, particularly if he secures a big-money move elsewhere this summer.
Who will be the top-rated player on FIFA 23?
Lionel Messi (93) and Robert Lewandowski (92) were the top two players last year, but there may be a role reversal on FIFA 23.
Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Neymar and Jan Oblak were all ranked 91, but none are likely to climb higher this year.
Haaland should also receive a significant boost in FIFA 23, and it would be no surprise to see him jump into the 90s this year.
